Exodus 30:38 (KJV) 38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people. What a command from the Lord and what obedience is required. Excommunication for disobedience is the fruit one that fails to follow God’s plan. God’s plan is so very clear that even a young child with some amount of understanding can obey. So you say why can’t an adult obey I say because some adults like to test the limit and see what will happen if they disobey. They want to know if what was forbid was real or imaginary!
So much for the King James Version of that scripture; let’s see what the Amplified Version says: Exodus 30:38 (AMP) 38 Whoever makes any like it for perfume shall be cut off from his people. What that is saying is if you copy the formula exactly like God gave it to Moses you would be ex-communicated from the assembly. WOW! God is a jealous God and what He wants for Himself is what He spells out.
You are probably asking yourself why the above scripture is so important to this article; very simple I want you to know and understand that those who wear essential oils (one-at-a-time) and do not try to make the forbidden blend are free to enjoy essential oils with no recourse other than from people who chase demons or dislike essential oils. Some people make everything out to be demonized.
God created everything for His glory including the trees and flowers that essential oils are derived from. To say that because a group of individuals use the oils in a demonic way to worship Baphomet or some other Luciferian demon makes all the oils and their applications evil is silly and insulting to God. Remember greater is He that is in us who are the children of the Most High God. People that chase demons should be sure they don’t become demonized and out-of-fellowship with God.
Lucifer did not create this world nor did he die for our sins, but rather he is attempting to make everyone miserable in order to gather more souls to Hell. The Devils’ only agenda is to Steal, Kill and Destroy. We will not let him destroy the essence of what God put into the essential oils. I believe when people refocus and rediscover that God created the oils and everything else for His glory there will be an even greater appreciation for what the oils can do.
When someone like me uses the oils I have in the back of my mind that whatever I do I do all in the name of Jesus. I live my life as to the glory of God because I am so thankful for all that He has done for me. This scripture says it best: Colossians 3:17 (AMP) 17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him. For those who may live by a different set of values understand that I have chosen to follow these principles and precepts.
You may wonder why this discussion is important and it is because recently I overheard someone make a negative comment about essential oils. The comment accused users of being involved in witchcraft and other occult behavior. Since most of the people I associate with are using essential oils for applications such as fragrance, cleaning products and healing properties I was appalled at such ignorance. Things that we do not really know we should investigate before we make such outrageous accusations about them – essential oils.
The title of the article is a question that now I want you to answer if you can! How do you smell? You see we all smell a certain way either from natural body aroma or from artificial something that we place on our body. Some of us use products that are alcohol based or oil based or perhaps nothing. Whatever our fancy we use it to keep our natural body odor which sometimes can be offensive from offending someone else. The neatest compliment given me is when I walk in a room and people say what is that I smell – it makes feel at peace!
Let me give you an example of some of the essential oils found in the bible; fragrances such as Aloes (Sandalwood), Cassia, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Galbanum, Hyssop, Myrrh, Mytle, Onycha, Rose of Sharon, Spikenard and Cypress. These fragrant oils not only smell good but are used for various and sundry healing uses.
If you are tired of the pain of traditional deodorants with their chemical base of aluminum and colognes or perfumes with bases of alcohol you may want to consider sampling and using essential oils.
