Is Your Spirit Well?

Psalm 139:14 (KJV) 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. King David said it best that we are fearfully and wonderfully made; one place it says we are made in His image and Likeness. If only this world as we know it was paradise it would be truly enjoyable but it is hell on earth to live on a planet overrun by Satan and his demons. Many of those demons we encounter on a daily basis and some people are sadly enough married to and living with them.

Those of us who make a decision to live our life according to God’s will soon will be avenged from this place by being caught away with Jesus when He comes to catch us away. I believe when we accept Him as Lord and Savior He makes us righteous before the God the Father which puts us in a position to be raptured. And those who do not believe in being raptured hopefully if ready will be caught away with Jesus (anyhow).

When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior hopefully you find yourselves in a church or fellowship where you study and learn the Word of God – the Holy Bible. Too many are disconnected from the body of Christ or they are just plain indifferent Christians. The fact that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and have the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior should be enough to cause us to recognize and realize that we are unique and different than the rest of the human beings on the planet.

Our unique position on the planet because we have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ gives us a special authority to deal with Satan and his demons when we have the full power working in and through us. What’s amazing there are Christians who do not believe in Satan/Devil even though the Holy Bible clearly delineates the movement of Lucifer from his beginning to his end in the Lake of Fire! This same type of lack of belief exists with some Christians about other key doctrinal points in the Holy Bible which is why I believe so many followers of Jesus Christ are living defeated lives.

The advent of so many false prophets and teachers in the earth who are essentially using the pulpit as a platform to fleece the people which adds to the lack of true confidence people should have in their God and know that in their spirit they are the overcomer. If you find yourself in a church or fellowship that is not empowering you according to the scripture to be all you can be for the Lord and live a successful life in all things you should exit that environment as soon as possible. God’s plan for all of us is to live godly successful lives in all areas of life on this planet.

God is a spirit and we are spirit, we have a body for visibility and God breathed into us the breath of life so that we are a living soul. This is confirmed in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Once we completely understand that we are spirit; our whole essence is found somewhere in the walls of the body in an invisible sphere called our spirit.

That sphere called spirit is what this article is concerned about. We have physicals for our body to determine our health and wellbeing, we have diagnostic checkups for our automobiles and we have eye exams for our eyes to determine if we are near-sighted, far-sighted or 20/20. The Apostle Paul says it best: 2 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV)
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? You and I have the responsibility to know where we are in Christ Jesus.

Think about all the sermons and teachings you have listened to that were geared toward helping you to change according to the scripture and yet the Apostle Paul suggested that we examine ourselves! So then the question is how do you examine yourself? It is clearly stated by the Apostle Timothy: 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Many take this scripture to be directed toward those who are called as ministers; I believe this scripture belongs to everyone who is a redeemed child of God and that we all have a responsibility to minister to others the hope of glory.

When we study the scripture we learn how to live and be according to the Holy Bible which is our manual for living to keep us tuned-up to the standards of the word so our spirit is in sync with that of God the Father. This is evident because the only way to truly worship God is to worship Him in spirit and truth. We must worship him with our spirt and live our life according to his Word – the Holy Bible.

Therefore once everyone understands we are a spirit, we live in a body and we have the breathe of life which comes from God the Father and for some they have also received the gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of tongues they have the power to stop Satan/Devil in his tracks. First let me explain that a child of God has the promise that greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world – that is the Satan/Devil. That is a powerful promise of security in the Lord.

Living the life God’s way is a life-time endeavor that must be based on the doctrine and principles in the Word of God – the Holy Bible. Too many have been led astray to follow doctrines of devils and man. If you search your spirit it yearns for truth and understanding. The truth is found in Gods’ Word and understanding is discovered by allowing the Holy Spirit to break it down for you. When you have the relationship with Father God and you commune with Him in the spirit through prayer and fasting you allowing yourself to go into that higher level of holy living.

When your spirit is in complete harmony with the Word of God and you direct your flesh to live to the best of your knowledge according to the Holiness of God you are at peak performance. We must remember it is not of works that we are saved, but we are saved by grace. Works alone will not get you into heaven but obedience to the Holy Spirit. Peak performance does not mean that you have done it all by yourself but you have relied heavily on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into all truth. Because as we live our lives from the time we are saved (declared righteous by Jesus) we experience test, trials and tribulations that go through as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

When we achieve peak performance in Christ we are promised that our spirit which is us can have the peace that passes all understanding. It is stated in Philippians 4:7 (KJV) 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. That means no matter what is going on in the world we have peace in our spirit to know that we are living in that place that puts us in complete harmony with God the Father and Jesus as we wait on the return of Jesus to catch us away.

Are you there yet?
