You are probably out of breath like the rest of us as to how quickly 2016 past us by! It seems like January 1, 2016 just happened yesterday with the brilliant Rose Parade on TV all day playing over and over. Where did the time go so fast? We could recap this by looking at each month or each quarter or each half; regardless how you slice it, it sped right on by.

The writer says it like this: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (KJV) 1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I know that is a lot of scripture but I want you to see with your own eyes what the word says and know that all those things mentioned above happened somewhere on the globe in the last eleven months by multiple people everywhere. You may not have experienced them all but someone has. We must find a way to capture and hold onto those things that are dear to us because with the advent of the information highway we can now be in motion 24/7 even when we are sleeping things are happening that affect us.

To be ready for 2017 we must tie up our loose ends from this year and put together plans and goals for next. In order to tie up loose ends we might consider doing a review of the last few months and ensure that we have completed all our open assignments and projects. Those things that we plan to carry into 2017 should be identified as such and place in plan as high items to complete.

The reason I am sharing it to you like this is because we have another scripture that will bless you about planning: Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV) 2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  The guide for success from the bible for all of us tells us to write the vision or plan out on a tablet, laptop, and piece of paper, note book or some device that you will have the rest of the year as a reference point for your plan. Then the Prophet Habakkuk tells us why we need to write it down because when we take off for 2017 we will have something tangible to guide us.

You know the saying that if you don’t plan to succeed you will fail. I wonder is that what happened too many of us this year who were caught in the throes of the election fever. It seemed like the election consumed so much of our captive time! When we actively plan and engage in the activities we plan we will succeed and achieve our goals.

I encourage you to put together your plan on some device of your choice and be organized in your own way so that you may be actively engaged in your plan for 2017. We should live our life without regrets and with the peace that surpasses all understanding as promised by the Lord.

If you are not living your life with the peace that passes all understanding you are living beneath your privilege from the Lord. That is one of the many promises in scripture that we may live by today. If you need guidance to make this a reality in your life; if it is not feel free to contact us for a personal ministry concerning this issue.

Here is another promise of the Lord: Genesis 8:22 (KJV) 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Without fail 2017 will arrive – ready or not! He said in the word that while the earth remains it will be seedtime and harvest, cold and hot, and day and night shall not cease. That means we all can do our planning and get it done in the time each one has allocated. It also means it is not the end of the world as some would have you think.

Remember, no one knows but God the Father when He will be sending Jesus back to catch us away in the air. So don’t be fooled or deceived, but rather continue to look for his coming and as you look for his coming live the life he would have you live for his glory!

Are you ready to celebrate Jesus Christ and move into 2017?
